Welcome to the online version of Echo Books & Chocolate Lounge! We’re a new & used bookstore in the Caribbean town of Cocles, 2 kilometers south of Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. Our bookstore offers a wide selection of books in English, Spanish, French, German, Dutch and other languages.

We’re also a Chocolate Lounge that serves delicious 70% organic cacao from Costa Rica. Our tucked away jungle location gives our guests an opportunity to relax, read or share with friends while immersed in nature. You can choose to sit inside the air conditioned bookstore, or maybe you’d like to relax in a hammock outside, while browsing the web on our FREE WIFI.
